Music is considered the universal language. It influences our athletes more than we realize. My love for music has always been a positive outlet. Some coaches don't allow music during workout, some allow music during warm-up or in the weight room when lifting- regardless of your stance, our athletes are fueling themselves based on what they are listening to. Learning who/what they are listening can help steer performance and address many issues in training and performance. Whether confidence is high or they are having a bad day, music usually gives a good indication of whether they are fueling their ego, fear, or just need to be left alone.
